MOT sensor and Strong IR Emitter

These few weeks are the most horrible weeks in NTU. I havent been able to do much..just a whole chunk of presentations preparation.

MOT sensor
As promised here is a picture of the MOT sensor I detached from the Wiimote. It is NOT working though. The people from PixArt has replied me and they seems very willing to reveal. Hopefully they reveal something useful the next time they reply me.

Finger Sensing
However, there is a little progress on my finger sensing. Here is a little video showing the use of a IR emitter which was suppose to be used for night vision. I was holding the camera with one hand and using the other for finger sensing...so it is a bit shaky...and apologise for the "no sound" video...dont know what to say LOL

Hopefully, when i get a better setup, my finger sensing will be able to work.

Billboard??
I saw some billboards at Boonlay MRT, they are a bit out of color, and seems pretty cool.  It is just lacking of interactive features which I will be implementing wahahah.

FYP

Here are the details about my FYP:

The idea is to create a billboard that can 'interact' with the users by using various sensors. Mobile devices will be connected via bluetooth to be used as game controllers to interact with the advertisements. You have probably predicted that Flash will be used. Yes, it will be because it is the most interactive development kit arond I can think of. Most of the modules are already up, except for...

  • The IR Camera which will be used for finger sensing....That is the IRRITATING part..
  • Profiling of various advertisements
  • Scheduling
  • Integration
  • Database of the advertisements
These are rather simple stuff, except for the finger sensing, which I suppose will be up within 1 month of continuous work. I havent been working too much on it recently because of the stupid assignments which have been piling up.

Yesterday, I went through the top 100 brands in the world~
After which I googled through the available flash sites for relevant flash advertisement to be used in this project.

Hopefully, I will have some useful suggestion soon...
Any more suggestions???
